Whether it's your first motorbike or simply time for an upgrade, you may be wondering what motorbike to buy. Well, you’re in luck. We’ve compiled a list of some of the best bikes on the market based on what is important to you.

Whether you’re looking for something that will munch up long distances or something to tear up the track, SuperBike Factory has got you covered. Take a look...

What are the best motorbikes for beginners?

If you are new to bikes, you’ll want something with a smaller displacement that’s forgiving, easy to handle and going to give you a confidence boost.

If you are after something sporty, consider the Kawasaki Ninja 400, Honda CBR500R or the Yamaha R3. These will give you an insight into the performance and thrill you get from a top-end sports bike. If you prefer the look of a naked bike, look at the Yamaha MT-03, a Honda CB500F or a Suzuki SV650. Same sporty performance but with a more comfortable seating position.

As for adventure/tourer options, we recommend a Royal Enfield Himalayan, a Honda CRF300L or a BMW G310GS. These are perfect for covering long distances or for venturing off-road.

What motorbikes have the best fuel economy?

If fuel economy is a priority for you, then you're going to want to look at bikes that are 500cc or lower. You’ll find the best fuel economy from 125cc bikes, some of which, like the Honda CB125F, will achieve well over 100mpg.

If you are after a bigger engine whilst still retaining that efficiency, options such as the Honda CBR500R / CB500F / CB500X or the KTM 390 Duke can achieve up to 70mpg whilst still retaining plenty of that exciting performance.

Moving up another tier, the KTM Duke 790, Honda NC750X and the Yamaha MT-07/MT-09 all offer great fuel economy for bigger, 700cc+ engines.

If you prefer a classic option, consider a Royal Enfield Continental GT or a Triumph Bonneville for returns of over 60mpg.

Top tip: Keep your bike well-maintained for best fuel efficiency. Having your bike regularly serviced will help everything from fuel economy, to safety, and the bike’s value should you come to sell it. See how we can help.

What are the best motorbikes for long distances?

If you plan to ride long distances, at home or abroad, you need a touring bike. These bikes have a comfortable upright riding position, a long fuel range, and options for luggage.

Some of the best choices are the Honda Gold Wing, a luxury tourer from Honda. There is also the BMW R1250GS, a well-loved adventure bike. Lastly, consider the Yamaha Tenere 700, rugged and reliable with exceptional build quality.

If you’re looking for a more affordable option, consider the Suzuki V-Strom 650 or the Honda CB500X.

Which motorbikes are the most comfortable?

The most comfortable bikes are those with an upright seating position, plush cushioning, wind protection and great suspension. The tourers we mentioned in the previous section tick all these boxes, so refer back to those for all-day comfort.

With that being said, it is worth looking at what the USA has to offer. Both Harley-Davidson and Indian offer ultra-comfortable cruisers. The Harley-Davidson Road Glide and Road King and the Indian Chief and Roadmaster all offer top-notch comfort and look good whilst doing it.

What are the best bikes for the track?

If you’re tearing up the track, you of course want a bike that’s fast, agile and controlled. You’ve got a few options here. You could get something around the 600cc mark that’ll have a nice balance of performance and being easy to manage, perhaps the better option if you aren’t particularly experienced, or you could grab yourself a top-of-the-line supersports bike.

Some of the best 600cc options include a Yamaha R6, Honda CBR600RR, Aprilia RS660 and a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R. All of these make for great track options, with jaw-dropping speed and smooth handling.

If you’re more experienced and looking for a track monster, then you’ve got some spectacular options. The Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade, the Yamaha R1, the Ducati Panigale V4 and the BMW S1000RR all offer blistering speed and unrivalled track performance.
