When it comes to 125cc motorbikes, they fly out of our showrooms before they’ve even made themselves at home. Why? There’s plenty of reasons – they’re affordable, easy to ride, great on fuel, and highly wanted by first-time bikers, as they can be ridden on just a CBT (Compulsory Basic Training) license and are ideal for learning the ropes.
Most motorbike manufacturers have now ventured into the world of the 125cc engine, but here we’ve picked out some of our most popular models!
Honda Monkey

A true icon, the Honda Monkey was first introduced to Europe in 1963, and then freshly rebooted in 2018. This miniature motorbike has proven hugely popular thanks to its Seventies retro look, and massively fun riding experience.
Kawasaki Ninja 125

Part of Kawasaki’s Ninja sport bike series, the Kawasaki Ninja 125 was first introduced in 2019 to appeal to CBT license holders. The Ninja 125 offers sporty suspension, a “big bike” look and is incredibly fun to ride.
KTM 125 Duke

The KTM 125 Duke is also a hugely popular 125cc model. Although it was first introduced back in 2011, it was the 2017 update that gave this learner motorbike real desirability! The 125 Duke is a naked-style bike that exudes quality and offers an excellent ride for an affordable price.
Yamaha XSR125

Only launched in 2021, the Yamaha XSR125 has been one of the most popular 125s over the last few years, and it’s easy to see why. The bike boasts a stunning retro look, has outstanding build quality, and its agile handling makes every journey incredibly fun.
Honda CB125R

First introduced in 2018, the Honda CB125R has since been creeping up the popularity ranks! The CB125R has modern retro styling, and like all Honda’s, is extremely well built. It is lightweight, comfortable, and its excellent suspension and handling make it a thrill to pilot.
